Dr. Douglas (Alec) Hill, MD, FACC, is a highly respected doctor specializing in cardiology. He advanced his studies at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, obtaining his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2010. Dr. Hill then completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, between 2011 and 2013.

His commitment to cardiology led him to the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD, where he completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease in 2016. During this time, he was honored with the Chief Fellow award for the 2015-2016 academic year.

Board-certified in Adult Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Disease, Internal Medicine, and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Hill's clinical interests include non-invasive cardiology, particularly preventive cardiology, congestive heart failure, and non-invasive imaging.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Hill is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). He has contributed significantly to the field of cardiology, authoring publications such as "A Sensitive Cardiac Troponin I Assay to Screen for Acute Rejection in Heart Transplant Patients" in Circulation: Heart Failure in 2014 and "Do established biomarkers such as B-type natriuretic peptide and troponin predict rejection?" in Current Opinion in Organ Transplantation in 2013.
